the early days of brewing with true tales of gangsters, bootlegging and how the locals
successfully defied Prohibition.
Our partners at Lancaster County Tours
have orchestrated an entertaining weekend on June 11 and then again on August
6. Hear about colorful reminiscences of beer-making, and sample some
of
Lancasters pretzels both soft and hard with local pretzel makers. Of
course, the tour would not be complete without a stop at Sturgis Pretzel Factory, site of Americas
first introduction to pretzels. The journey continues to Union Barrel Works
to tour their facility and experience their top-rated beer.
Stoudts Brewery in Adamstown is the final stop, where host Ed
Stoudt will acquaint guests with his award-winning brews and provide a tour of his
brewery. Theres no need for
a designated driver because guests will be transported by a professional service.
$99 per person covers the cost of all
tours, lectures, tastings, lunch, and transportation. Lodging
is additional to the cost of the package; guests who decide to lodge will receive a
special gift. This event is open to anyone over age 21.
