Chocolate and Wine – a Match Made in….Lancaster
Lancaster County, PA: Just when you think February couldn’t get any more romantic, along come two innkeepers who’ve combined the best of two worlds. On February 26 and 27, The Artist’s Inn and Harvest Moon B&B will hold their first Chocolate and Wine Tour.
“We’ve had successful chocolate tours in the past and our wine tours inevitably feature chocolate at some point in the tasting, so it seemed natural to devote a special tour to this wonderful pairing”, explains Carl Kosko, owner of The Harvest Moon
Passions run deep in Lancaster County, whether chocolatiers are making a perfect truffle or vintners are perfecting a Cabernet Sauvignon, and the tour promises only the best quality in both areas.
Starting with an evening of pairing chocolate and wine on Friday, couples will have a chance to learn the rich history of chocolate while indulging in the most romantic of confections.
On Saturday, the tour will begin with two local confectionaries that savor their ingredients, quality and presentation. The afternoon will be spent exploring two wineries.
“The best part of the tour is the dinner – a four-course gourmet dinner that will feature chocolate in every course”, claims Jan Garrabrandt, owner of The Artist’s Inn. “This is a phenomenal end to a fun and interesting day because it includes a quiz about what participants have learned during the weekend, complete with prizes.
